Trousers may appear to be relatively simple in design but don't be fooled, there are more subtle sartorial elements than may initially meet the eye.

What fabric to choose: (Occasion Dependent)

• Light weight wool
• 100% cotton
• Linen
• Cotton/linen/wool blends.

Belt, Braces or Side Buckles

Our Preference - Side Buckles are a cloth strap and buckle attachment which straddle the lower seam of the waistband on each side. When adjusted, the buckles tighten the waistband helping beltless and non-suspended trousers from slipping down. We prefer this waistband for the majority of clients as it provides a cleaner line and enables versatility in your shoe choice.

If you are more comfortable wearing a belt, wear the belt.

Braces can be used for sartorial flare but traditionally are for the gentlemen who may need a little extra room when sitting down.

Pleats or pleat less

This style choice is decided by:

• Your body shape
• The position you naturally wear your trouser
• If you prefer comfort over aesthetic

Additional features of Bespoke Trousers

A common feature in our trousers is a split, or “notched” rear waistband which adds some flexibility to the waistband and responds to the wearer's movements allowing the trousers to sit flush against the wearer's back.
