Wil Valor at Brisbane Fashion Festival 2022

Queensland's largest and most prestigious fashion event, Brisbane Fashion Festival returned to King George Square for a packed five-day event last week.

Brisbane Fashion Festival (or BFF as we affectionately call it in the Showroom) celebrated it's 15th anniversary, with a line-up of over 50 designers. Wil Valor was incredibly proud to close out the festival during the Designer Group Show on Thursday night, which opened with an incredible performance by Dami Im, and showcased 12 of Queensland's most-loved designers.

After watching glorious Fashion Weeks around the globe, Mark Ferguson and the team at Wil Valor have been eagerly awaiting Brisbane's turn, and were excited to showcase our newest collection of must-have looks for the new Spring/Summer season.

We launched our new bespoke bomber jackets and custom dresses this year. This exciting expansion of our product range ensures we can offer more wardrobe staples, that our clients will wear on repeat.

Known for our classic, refined tailored suits for men and women, Wil Valor brought some of the finest Italian Fabrics to some new and daring suit designs this year. As even the most sartorially autocratic workplaces are beginning to loosen their ties, we found our clients have been more open to experimenting with colours, textures, and styles. This was reflected on our runway, which featured many bright pinks, oranges, and purples in various textures and hues.

The heart of this season's offering though, are the pieces that sparkle, particularly this tailored jacket with a raised collar inspired by a custom garment made earlier this year for the Gold Coast Elvis movie premiere. Not to mention the gold set that features a dazzling cape, which closed out the evening and inspired the largest cheer of the night from the sold-out audience.
